Newswise — Everyone is invited to attend a special workshop “Green Chemistry and the UN SDGs” organized by Green Chemistry & Sustainability Program, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 8:00 p.m. at 10:30 p.m. through Zoom.
This workshop aims to understand how chemistry and more specifically green chemistry can help achieve the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Professor Dr Meghna Dilip: Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry at Worcester State University, Worcester, MA, USA. His current research interests focus mainly on the use of ionic liquids for greener separations. She has also contributed to the development of educational materials on green chemistry for use in the undergraduate curriculum.
- Professor Dr. Margaret E. Kerr: She is currently a professor and former department head specializing in green chemistry research. She received the George Alden Excellence in Teaching Award and the Deans’ Lecture Award from Worcester State University.
- Professor Dr. Supawan Tantayanon: Professor in the Chemistry Department of Chulalongkorn University. Besides teaching and research, she has paid great attention to chemical safety and security, green chemistry and sustainability, and small-scale chemistry technique.
