Orbea has made a habit of unveiling new graphics for its production bikes each time its factory team returns to the Cape Epic. This year, it foreshadows the grueling South African stage race by offering its fans new colors: mint and black Factory Team.
The current design is fairly new – the team debuted it at the Costa Blanca Bike Race in January. Now anyone can ride an Orbea Oiz or Alma with the distinctive color pattern. Simplistic white across most of the frame helps accentuate the aggressive look of the spikes.
In addition to the professional colours, Orbea also offers riders the opportunity to join the team first-hand in a UCI MTB stage race. Anyone who buys and registers a bike in Factory team colors gets their name in a raffle to win an exclusive trip with the team to Colina Triste. Not only that, but they also have the chance to participate in the race at the end of July.
Orbea will equip up to five winners with special gear to use alongside the team in the four-stage race. To allow winners to focus on the task at hand, the brand will provide accommodation during race days.
